One advantage of the Mente Argentina program that we are most proud of is the events that we organize for our participants. Upon arriving to a new city it is important to have some time to get to know other people who are in the same situation as you. We love being able to provide the situations in which Mente Participants can get to know one another.
With Mente, you will have both standing and weekly events as well as an array of great discounts to boot! All weekly and standing events are included in your program and come at no extra charge.
Weekly Events
Mente Argentina coordinates 2-3 events per week for current Mente participants to enjoy. These events run the gamut from from museum visits, to city tours, to theater, to meriendas in the park, you name it.
We believe that the best way to get to know others is by sharing food or beverages. For that reason, we organize an event at least three times a month during which we can enjoy some of the delicious eats that Buenos Aires has to offer whether it be dinner, snacks, or, our personal favorite, happy hour.
As a participant, we encourage you to let us know if you have any ideas or specific interests so that we can organize events that you will most enjoy.
Standing Events
We know how busy your schedules can be when studying, working, or volunteering here in Buenos Aires. For that reason, we offer events that you can take advantage of at any time during your stay here. You are welcome to go on your own or with other Mente Participants. All you have to do is let us know and we will organize everything for you.

Language Exchange Groups
For those of you who come to Buenos Aires to work on your spanish skills, we provide free passes to the local language exchange groups. This is a great way to practice your speaking and listening and to meet other people who are interested in practicing with you.
Mate Club de Conversación: Mate Club is a great way for you to practice your Spanish/English skills. You sit down with a group of people and share mate and tostadas. The conversation switches between English and Spanish every 15 minutes, allowing for more in depth conversation.

- Thursdays in Palermo (Borges 1975) 6:30 PM- 8:00 PM
Spanglish: This conversation group is set up a bit like speed dating. You meet with people and have 5 minute conversations in Spanish and then in English. This is a great way to talk with a variety of different people.

City Tours 
For those of you who want to take in all of the information about the history and culture of this city during your stay, these tours are available for you. The below tours run weekly. All you have to do is let us know and we will sign you up. If you and a minimum of three people are interested in any of these tours let us know & we can organize a private tour!
