Information before leaving home

Mente Argentina has a staff whose main task is to give you any assistance, information and recommendations you may need even before your program begins.

We are trained to answer promptly any question or doubt which may arise before the program begins. Do not hesitate to consult us about the programs, options, weather, cost of living, what to bring, and whatever!

Accommodation

Whether you choose to stay in an apartment (private or shared), a university dorm or a family house, Mente Argentina covers the FULL rent (including electricity, gas and water supply expenses). Therefore, you won't have any additional expenses.

All accommodation options include full kitchen or meals.

If you have any special requirements regarding the accommodation or meals, do not hesitate to consult us and we will make the necessary arrangements for you.

Activities and Tours included

In all the programs Mente Argentina includes the activities we consider essential to know the Argentine culture, its best locations and the people.

Besides the typical touristic outings, such as a visit to the Neighborhood of La Boca or the Pink House (Government Building), Mente Argentina will take you to visit the places where the porteños (the people who live in the City of Buenos Aires) usually go, such as evening outings to different bars and night clubs of the city and different concerts as well.

In addition, for those who wish to go on further tours, we can offer different get-away trips during weekends as well as optional tours which we are sure you would love to make.

Welcome to Buenos Aires.

We will organize a welcome meeting where we will celebrate your arrival (and all the other participants´ of that week).

During the meeting we will provide the Mente Argentina Welcome Guide, a guide we have specially prepared which contains information about subways, free cell phones, Mente Argentina's Card, hospitals, programs you have chosen, security during your visit and a schedule with the events of the month that you can't miss!

Mente Argentina's Card.

Mente Argentina's Card is a card which provides discounts and benefits especially to those who are visiting Argentina.

This card is personal and cannot be transferred to other people. Besides, it will allow you to get important discounts and benefits in bars, night clubs, clothes shops around the country, restaurants and many other places!

Airport Pick up and Transfer.

Once you arrive in Argentina, we will make all the arrangements to pick you up at the airport. Then we will take you to your accommodation (if it is a family house, we will introduce you to the family members). Additionally, we will provide information about your first day in the program (location, starting time, etc.)

We have also included the transfer to drop you off at the airport once you finish your program.

Free Cell Phone.

Mente Argentina will provide you with a free cell phone so that you can be in contact with your family and friends.

Besides, this phone will be useful to be in contact with your new friends during your stay. You will be asked to pay for a US$ 50 deposit which will be refunded once you give the phone back at the end of the program.

Mente Argentina does not charge a registration fee for this service. The only thing you will have to pay is the phone card with credit which can be acquired in lots of shops around the city.

Free passes to a renowned gym.

Mente Argentina has an agreement with one of the most important fitness centers in Buenos Aires. This center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and offers a great variety of classes during the week.

Due to this agreement, all participants from all the programs can access the gym and attend the classes during the seven days of the week WITH NO EXTRA CHARGE.
