What does Mente Argentina offer?

Mente Argentina’s photography program aims both at beginners and those who wish to broaden their knowledge to become more experienced photographers.

The Basic Course of Mente Argentina’s Photography School combines the teaching of techniques based on analogical and digital technologies, always focusing on creativity and motivation so that students can eventually produce images with their own personal style.

• The regular Photography program lasts 1 moth and classes are delivered 4 times a week.

• The intensive Photography program lasts 2 weeks and both individual and group classes are available.

Some of the topics from the syllabus are the following:

• Introduction to basic operation of a camera: diaphragm, speed, exposure and sensitivity of the film.
• Use of reflex cameras and manual cameras (digital and analogical).
• Light and different types of lighting.
• Photometry.
• Types of lenses, filter, color and flash of the camera.
• Expressive and compositional resources.
• Analogical Photography: Different types of films. Developing of black and white films, process of copying with its different styles.
• Digital Photography: Differences between analogical and digital cameras which directly affect their use.
• Edition and basic digital touching up.

Information about the Photography school of Mente Argentina

The School of Photography of Mente Argentina was founded 15 years ago with the aim of promoting photography and at the same time educating professionals with talent and creativity.
Today, with an extensive experience, the school has become one of the most important teaching centers of the country.
The classes are delivered in reduced groups and the school provides the students with all the cameras and necessary resources. In addition, students have the chance to borrow professional cameras to practice for free.

Theoretical concepts are presented through different methodologies so that classes are more creative and fun.

Do you want to learn or improve your Spanish? (optional)

Mente Argentina offers you the possibility to combine your program with Spanish lessons. In this way, you will be able to learn or improve your Spanish while enjoying a unique experience in Buenos Aires.

Lessons take 4 hours and are delivered from Monday to Friday at the MA Spanish School in reduced groups of up to 8 students. These group classes will be combined with individual lessons so that you can reinforce your weaknesses and we can answer your inquiries in a one on one meeting.

Spanish School's teachers are highly qualified and have a vast experience in teaching Spanish as a second language. Therefore, the classes will be interactive and above all enjoyable!

The classes can be attended both in the morning and the afternoon, so they will not overlap with the activities of your program.

Registration Process

1. Submit the online registration form.
2. Once we receive your registration form, we will send you instructions on how to pay the US$70 registration fee.

*The deadline for registration is at least two weeks before the program starts. Registrations submitted after the deadline will be considered on a case by case basis.

Special offers for 2010 applicants: The program includes the developing of 100 digital photos as a present, so that you take your best creations with you.
