UBA (Universidad de Buenos Aires – a public university) is the largest and most well known university in Argentina and is one of the most prestigious in Latin America. The Foreign Language Department offers Spanish programs for foreign students, as well as other foreign language programs for Argentine students. Every year, more than 20,000 students study foreign languages there.

The UBA is located in a bustling area of downtown Buenos Aires near the Obelisk and the National Congress.

Mente Argentina’s Spanish Program is held at a large and well-known university which will most probably give you credit for your home university.
Most students get 3 - 4 semester units for each 4-week Spanish course completed with the Mente Argentina’s Spanish Program.

If you are in college and would like to get academic credit at your home institution, you will have to pass all the Spanish courses since most institutions require at least a 'C' grade or more before giving credit to an overseas course. Just in case, talk to your advisor or coordinator and arrange this in time if possible.

Official transcripts are issued by the Universidad de Buenos Aires Spanish Language Department.

What does Mente Argentina offer?

Mente Argentina has designed a Spanish program for students who want to learn Spanish and get academic credit, as well as for those students who just want to learn Spanish for fun in a university environment while visiting Buenos Aires, instead of doing it at a regular Spanish School. Our program is aimed at students with all Spanish levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

Spanish conversations, Spanish grammar and culture will be covered throughout the course.
Like in all the other programs, you will have special activities (included in the program) during the week and weekends that will help you to practice your Spanish and will let you have some real Spanish training while you get to know the city in an exciting way.

On your first day in the Mente Argentina’s Summer Program you will take a placement test to verify your Spanish Level.

Do you want to learn or improve your Spanish? (optional)

Mente Argentina offers you the possibility to combine your program with Spanish lessons. In this way, you will be able to learn or improve your Spanish while enjoying a unique experience in Buenos Aires.

Lessons take 4 hours and are delivered from Monday to Friday at the MA Spanish School in reduced groups of up to 8 students. These group classes will be combined with individual lessons so that you can reinforce your weaknesses and we can answer your inquiries in a one on one meeting.

Spanish School's teachers are highly qualified and have a vast experience in teaching Spanish as a second language. Therefore, the classes will be interactive and above all enjoyable!

The classes can be attended both in the morning and the afternoon, so they will not overlap with the activities of your program.
