Why Study Wine in Buenos Aires with Mente Argentina – Carolina, Brazil

-

Carolina and her adorable dog Caru from Brazil joined us in 2019 for our Wine Program. Here is her story…

My name is Carolina and, since I was seven years old, influenced by living with a great friend of my family, I was already sure that I would be a journalist. I graduated in 2005, in journalism, from a University in Campinas, the city where I live today, which is in the state of São Paulo.

In the second year of college, I started an internship at CBN radio, one of the main news broadcasters in the country. I stayed there for four years, working as an intern, a reporter until I became chief editor, at the age of 23.

I was born in a simple family and passionate about sports, especially football. No surprise, since we are Brazilian, however, my father is a coach, so we had no choice! Throughout my life, I lived surrounded by soccer professionals, experiencing the routine of those who earn their living with the sport. This led me to do a specialization in Sports Marketing and become a press officer. As an advisor, I have been in the market for more than 10 years. There are seven, I manage my own press agency, with experience not only in the sports sector, but in events, economics, social inclusion, psychology and health.

I am currently a blank slate. I decided to reconnect with myself through two great passions: wine and Argentina. After more than 10 years without a vacation, I am allowing myself a peaceful and productive period, learning a little more about the local culture and wines that are so much part of the best moments of celebration.

Of course, all of this, always with my partner: Caru. An adorable eight-year-old lhasa apso, who has become my safe haven and who is also eager to start her walks in the dusk of Buenos Aires.
