Do You Need a Student Visa for Argentina?

Before applying for a student visa, check if your passport allows visa-free entry to Argentina. Citizens of the following countries receive an automatic 90-day tourist visa upon arrival and do not need a student visa for programs shorter than 90 days:

Passport), Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (Republic), Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Saint Kitts and Nevis, San Marino, Santa Lucia, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines, Serbia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Suriname, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City.

If your country is not listed, you’ll need to apply for a student visa before arriving in Argentina. Always check with the Argentine Embassy for the latest visa policies, as requirements may change in 2025.
