“Hi, my name is Talia and I did a Semester Program and Volunteer Program. In my city I study Music Therapy and I wanted to come down here to study it from a different culture perspective. I went to Universidad del Salvador, I was the only American and all Argentines. I took 5 classes and it was very challenging as it wasn’t a program designed for foreigners, but I learned a ton of Spanish and my vocabulary improved. My volunteer program was great as I worked with 30 children from ages 5-16 and I was able to arrange Music Therapy sessions with them, and it was a great experience for me as I got to designed it and organizes it and practice Spanish. I stayed in a shared apartment and it was a really great experience in Recoleta, the nicest neighborhood in Buenos Aires. It was really open; a lot of lights and it was great. There’s always something going on in the city. It’s very economical and they actually treat you like adults and don’t treat you like the in the American bubble of baby students, you get to be free but always have a leaning shoulder if you need anything. It was great learning experience. Study Abroad Semester at Universidad del Salvador. Mente Argentina Review by Talia
