Volunteer Programs and Opportunities with Mente Argentina

-

Living in Buenos Aires is not just about getting to know a new city, but also about having the opportunity to contribute to the well-being of local communities, grow personally and professionally, and make a real impact.

Through Mente Argentina’s volunteer programs, international students can join a network of NGOs (Non-Governmental Organization) and social projects that work every day to improve the lives of children, families, and young people in vulnerable situations.

Why choose us?

Choosing a volunteer program with Mente Argentina means living Buenos Aires in a more real and meaningful way. It’s about meeting people, understanding the culture from the inside, and giving something back to the community that welcomes you.

Our volunteer programs connect motivated people with local projects in areas such as education, public health, social support, sustainability, and professional internships. Even short-term experiences can create a real impact, both for the community and for you.

Every project is different and shows a different side of Argentine society. You might work with children or families, support vulnerable communities, join environmental projects, explore creative fields, or gain professional experience in local organizations and companies.

You won’t be alone: our team supports you before and during your experience, helping you find the right project and settle into life in Buenos Aires. Some placements require basic Spanish, but you can always improve your language skills with our spanish courses while you’re here.

Volunteering with Mente Argentina is about learning, sharing, and growing together.

Hogarsupport Vulnerable Communities in Argentina

The “hogar” volunteer experience focuses on supporting children and families within vulnerable communities, offering a safe and encouraging space where education, emotional support, and community values come together.

Volunteers contribute to educational and developmental activities, so they can:

  • Support children emotionally through presence and companionship
  • Spend time with children through play and daily routines
  • Assist caregivers and professionals in educational activities
  • Help create a warm, stable, and welcoming environment

This program is ideal for those who want to connect with people on a human level, learn from local traditions, and actively participate in strengthening community bonds.

CHAP- art, play and emotional support

The CHAP program uses art and creativity as powerful tools to support children facing difficult situations, particularly in healthcare environments.

As a volunteer, you’ll help facilitate creative activities such as:

  • Help facilitate art, music, and creative workshops
  • Create playful and positive moments for children and families
  • Support emotional expression through creative activities
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff in a sensitive environment

No artistic background is required — what matters most is your sensitivity, openness, and willingness to connect. Your presence helps transform challenging situations into spaces of expression, imagination, and lightness. This experience is especially meaningful for those interested in art, psychology, education, or anyone who believes in the healing power of creativity.

Chacras – sustainability and community action

The Chacras program isdedicated to environmental sustainability and community-based initiatives that promote a more responsible relationship with nature.

Volunteers take part in hands-on projects related to recycling, sustainable construction, environmental education, and community workshops. Working side by side with locals, you’ll contribute to initiatives that encourage eco-friendly practices while gaining practical experience in sustainability and environmental awareness.

This program is perfect for those who love working outdoors, care deeply about the environment, and want to combine social impact with ecological responsibility.
As a volunteer, you can:

  • participate in construction with adobe and recycled materials;
  • contribute to eco-sustainable fairs;
  • support the team of “Guardians of the Environment” (many with disabilities);
  • assist the director in organizational tasks or research projects.

Mensajerosvolunteering with Children

Volunteering in the Mensajeros program means working closely with children living in vulnerable conditions and becoming part of a supportive, caring environment that focuses on their growth and well-being.

As a volunteer, you’ll take part in everyday activities that truly matter:

  • Build meaningful relationships and offer a positive role model
  • Support children with daily activities, homework, and educational support
  • Help organize recreational activities such as art, music, and sports
  • Assist in providing basic care, meals, and emotional support

This experience allows you to make a real difference in children’s lives while gaining valuable insight into child development and social work. At the same time, you’ll immerse yourself in Argentinian culture, improve your Spanish, and share this journey with other international volunteers who, like you, are driven by empathy and a desire to give back.

Litvin – legal internship in Argentina

Litvin offers an exciting opportunity for students interested in law, innovation, and emerging technologies. This internship is designed for those who want to explore the legal world beyond textbooks and gain real exposure to intellectual property, branding, and modern legal challenges.

As an intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals and get involved in areas such as trademark registration, brand protection, entrepreneurship law, and internet-related legal matters. The experience also provides insight into cutting-edge topics like artificial intelligence, the metaverse, and their legal implications, offering a forward-looking perspective on the future of law.

This internship is ideal for students who want to strengthen their legal background, understand how international and Argentinian legal systems interact, and gain hands-on experience in a professional and dynamic environment. It’s a valuable step for anyone considering a career in law, business, or innovation-driven fields.

Las Cumbres – education and teaching experience

Las Cumbres offers a meaningful educational internship for those passionate about teaching, learning, and working with children. This experience allows volunteers to step inside a bilingual school environment and actively support teachers and students throughout their daily activities.

Interns can:

  • Gain exposure to entrepreneurship and innovation law
  • Assist with intellectual property and brand protection cases
  • Learn about emerging legal fields such as AI and digital law
  • Support research and documentation for international clients

This placement is especially suitable for students interested in education, pedagogy, languages, or working with children. It combines professional growth with cultural immersion, allowing interns to make a positive impact while developing skills that are essential for a future career in teaching or education-related fields.
