Joanna from the U.S. joined us in 2019 for our Internship Program where she worked for a local organization that promotes eco-friendly business practices and education.
The Mente Argentina Program is a great fit for both my academic and professional goals. Participating in this program has helped me develop my Spanish language skills, which will make me a more competitive applicant for professional careers after graduation. Additionally, the skills and knowledge that I have developed on-program will make me more competitive as I begin my career in the Global Development and Peace sector.
Having spent a summer with International Volunteer HQ in Costa Rica, I excel in diverse environments, where I can work with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
In addition to developing stronger language skills in a variety of settings, the program provides an opportunity to actively engage with different sectors and organizations in Argentina. My professional goal is to be involved with international aid relief organizations. I would like to gain expertise within this sector. With Mente Argentina providing the sustainable development program, I have beeen able to enhance my skills.
Participating in this program has allowed me to demonstrate my ability to adapt and excel in diverse environments, making me a more competitive applicant in the future. Additionally, I gained a unique set of skills and knowledge through this program that will enhance my perspective internationally, as well as my understanding of the Spanish language and Argentinian culture. As an individual who hopes to work in the international aid relief sector, developing knowledge and experience in Argentina is vital in my future success. I will maximize the impact of this experience on my individual academic path and professional development.
