Hi, my name is Linnea, I’m from the US, I’m originally from Washington state but I live in California and I had actually studied abroad in Argentina previously through a different study abroad program. I loved the city and I wanted to come back. Now I’m between my undergraduate and graduate school so I came back to Buenos Aires for just 2 and a half months and mente set me up with an internship. I had an internship at a law firm, which I really liked, I did that for eight weeks. The people were really nice, I learned a lot. I also took some Spanish classes at the Spanish school. That was a really positive experience for me as well because I had taken Spanish and even studied in Argentina before but of course since I had been back in the US, my Spanish had gotten a lot worse. So it was really nice to jump right into the Spanish classes when I first got here. My Spanish has improved a lot, I’ve also gone to Mate Club, which is a conversation club in a cafe where you can practice Spanish. That was actually through Mente as well and that was really helpful for my Spanish. I’ve just had a really good time in the city, I love the parks, I love to go running in the parks and walking around the lakes. Buenos Aires has great restaurants and nightlife. The people are super friendly, whenever I get lost someone is always there to help me. I’ve had a really great time in Buenos Aires and I’d definitely recommend Mente.
