Aussies living, studying and working in Argentina

The relationship between Australia and Argentina has strengthened in the past 2 years. Young Argentines are flocking Down Under to experience the quality education Australian universities offer such us University of Queensland. Argentines who study abroad in Australia have loved experiencing the laid back atmosphere and enjoyed the white sand beaches and friendly locals. Their mission is “to deepen academic, cultural and economic links between Australian and Argentineans.”

This relationship grew even stronger bonds when a work holiday agreement was signed in 2011 allowing 18-30 year old Argentinian students to work in Australia for up to a year.
Australian’s 18-30 years old are able to apply for this work holiday visa and work up to a year in Argentina. The aim is to strengthen cultural exchange and widen economic ties.

Recently, more and more Australians are breaking up their South America backpacking trips in Buenos Aires, Argentina for a quick revitalizing trip to do a short spanish program and/or volunteer program or to settle for a bit longer.
