Food Festival Apetito

Festival Apetito is a food festival that will take place outside at the Hipódromo de Palermo on Friday and Saturday. There is no entrance fee, which allows all to enjoy the never-ending array of food trucks filled with different types of street food!

Mundo Lingo

Mundo Lingo is a free cultural exchange event that encourages individuals to gather and engage in conversation. All languages are welcome. Sometimes referred to as tandem language learning, this method of practicing a foreign language involves conversing directly with native speakers of a different language.

Cumbia Konex

Cumba and Konex… pretty self explanatory?.. ok maybe not. Argentine cumbia is a subgenre of tropical music that originally began in Colombia. The beats get pretty snazzy, so if you’re a newbie buckle your seatbelt and enjoy some Argentine pop culture. The groups in charge of the rhythm are Damas Gratis, Supermerk-2, Santa Marta y los Hermanos de la Cumbia. When in doubt, Youtube it out to see if you would enjoy this event.

Swing After Office

The Swing Quintet is a live band comprised of a selection of local jazz musicians. They interpret iconic styles from the genre, such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Count Bassie, Duke Ellington, among others. Each edition offers distinct vocalists that accompany the band, which make each show different.

Every Saturday at Lucille is BLUES night! Enjoy this free, live jazz show featuring blues music and afro beats at this bar/theatre scene. The Blues genre originated with the presence of African Americans in the Southern region of the United States in the early 20th century.

Milonga at La Viruta

La Viruta is a tango club in Palermo that encourages dancers and spectators from all different backgrounds to gather and enjoy the art of dance. This milonga begins almost at midnight and will not end until about 6 am.

Urban Art Walking Tour in Palermo

This is a graffiti and mural tour in Palermo Soho where you will learn how street art has transformed the neighborhood. In addition, you will get to know the techniques that the artists in addition to the history behind each of the works of art. The tour is in Spanish with limited openings. The tour itself is free, but participants are expected to tip the tour guide (suggested 200 pesos).

San Telmo Walking Tour

If you want to discover the bohemian neighborhood of San Telmo, this is the walking tour for you. This tour is free, however, participants are expected to leave a tip (suggested 200 pesos) for the guide. The main languages are Spanish, English and French. The tour starts from Plaza Dorrego (next to the Starbucks) at 3:30pm and ends around 5:00pm. In order to attend, you must register at least one hour before the tour begins. Bring some extra cash, water, and comfortable walking shoes as you will have the opportunity to do some food and beer tasting during the tour!

Tango Class and Milonga

This is an event for emerging students (from beginner to intermediate) who want to enter into the world of tango. Each class, which begins at 6pm, is divided into three parts: stretching, technique, and practice. At 8pm, you will have the opportunity to dance to live tango bands, as well as the possibility to see some shows with surprising dancers.
