On this unsurprisingly hot weekend in Buenos Aires, the Barrio Chino is celebrating the Chinese New Year, Fiesta Plop is hosting another summer-themed drag show, and there is no shortage of live shows!

FRIDAY, JANUARY 24

Fiesta Plop!

Fiesta Plop is one of the most popular drag shows in the city. Each week, Plop offers a party with a different theme- for this week it is SUMMER! During the first hour of the party, there will be a 2 for 1 promotion for drinks at the bar. In true drag queen fashion, the dancers usually start their performance a little later than expected. The party usually begins between 2am-3:30am and ends at 6am! McDonald’s is just across the street for your breakfast convenience. 😉

Swing After Office

The Swing Quintet is a live band comprised of a selection of local jazz musicians. They interpret iconic styles from the genre, such as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Count Bassie, Duke Ellington, among others. Each edition offers distinct vocalists that accompany the band, which make each show different.

Cumbia Konex

This edition of Cumbia Konex will begin at midnight, featuring the open skies and ragin’ cumbia beats. Those in charge of the boogie are: Yerba Brava, Flor de Piedra, Los Charros, Los Gedes.

Malosetti & La Colonia

Javier Malosetti & La Colonia, the multi-instrumentalists and singers Milton Amadeo and Tomás Sainz are returning to Acuña de Figueroa. The invited bands are the following: Pasajero Luminoso, Pepo Limeres, Juan Pablo Moyano and Ezequiel Rivas.
