Sometimes.
Government aid often depends on your home university, whether your international experience forms part of your degree, and whether the program or overseas institution satisfies specific funding rules.
Mente Argentina does not determine eligibility for government funding.
Always confirm with the official funding agency and, where applicable, your home university's Financial Aid or International Programs office.
United States
FAFSA and federal student aid
Completing the FAFSA does not automatically make a Mente Argentina program eligible for U.S. federal student aid.
If you attend a U.S. college or university, ask your Financial Aid and Study Abroad offices whether your Mente Argentina program can be approved through your home institution and whether existing financial aid can travel with you.
Students should also investigate independent awards such as Gilman and the Fund for Education Abroad.

Germany
Auslands-BAföG and scholarships
German students planning an international study experience should investigate Auslands-BAföG and other scholarship opportunities.
Eligibility depends on the participant, duration, nature of the international study, and applicable BAföG requirements.
Students can also use the DAAD Scholarship Database to search current funding opportunities.

Turing Scheme and international mobility funding
For the 2026–27 academic year, eligible UK education providers can receive Turing Scheme funding for international study, work, and volunteering placements, and Argentina is an eligible destination.
Students do not apply directly to the Turing Scheme. Funding is arranged through participating schools, colleges, or universities.
From 2027, UK providers will be able to seek funding for international placements through Erasmus+, and the Turing Scheme will not operate during the 2027–28 academic year.
Check with your home institution for the funding system that applies to your planned travel dates.

Canada
Federal and provincial student aid
Canadian funding rules depend on your province or territory, home institution, program, and overseas institution.
Federal rules changed on August 1, 2026 for students attending private, for-profit international institutions, with federal funding generally no longer available in those cases except where transitional provisions apply.
Because provincial and institutional rules may differ, Canadian students should confirm eligibility directly with their provincial or territorial student-aid authority before relying on government funding for a program abroad.

France
International Mobility Assistance and Erasmus+
Eligible students enrolled in the French higher-education system may have access to Aide à la mobilité internationale, Erasmus+ funding, institutional mobility grants, or other assistance when an overseas study or internship forms part of their academic program.
For the 2026–27 academic year, France's International Mobility Assistance is administered through the student's institution and has specific eligibility and duration requirements.
Ask your university's International Relations office which options may apply to a program in Argentina.

Erasmus+ Students
Students enrolled at participating European higher-education institutions may be able to complete an international study or mobility period through Erasmus+ when the required institutional agreements and academic recognition are in place.
Erasmus+ mobility is normally organized through your home institution rather than by applying directly to Mente Argentina.

Australia
OS-HELP
Eligible Australian students may be able to access an OS-HELP loan for expenses associated with overseas study.
The overseas experience must satisfy OS-HELP requirements and count toward the student's Australian course. Eligibility and approval are determined through the Australian higher-education provider.
Qualifying overseas activities can include study, internships, professional placements, and study tours.
