Mente Argentina
Matthias's Internship Experience in Buenos Aires
Matthias's experience with Mente Argentina
Matthias, from near London, England, did an internship in Buenos Aires in a relaxed workplace with very friendly people. With non-stop Spanish all day, it was hard to keep up at first, which he says made him learn much faster. He enjoyed working alongside many other interns his age from South America and Europe. His roommates, from Poland, California and Germany, became really good friends, and he will be sad to leave them. The apartment was perfectly placed, two blocks from the subway and close to Recoleta and the center, with bars and restaurants nearby. His advice is to take advantage of Argentina beyond the city: a weekend away with about 15 people, three days in the sun by the pool, was probably his best weekend here. He found Argentines friendly, easy to get along with and always ready to help.

My name is Matthias Rosco. I'm from England, near London, and I was doing an internship here. The people there were so friendly. It was a relaxed environment, and it was so good for my Spanish, because it was non-stop Spanish all the time. It was hard to keep up, which makes it so much easier to learn quickly. I really enjoyed it. There were loads of other interns, people my age, really multicultural, from all over South America as well as from Europe. My roommates were awesome. I was living with a girl from Poland, a girl from California, and a guy from Germany, and they're all really good friends even now. It's going to be really sad to leave them. The apartment was the perfect place, two blocks from the subway, really close to Recoleta, and really close to the center, so anywhere you want to go, bars, restaurants, whatever, it's perfect. You have to take advantage of Argentina as well. It was probably the best weekend since I've been here. A group of about 15 of us went, and it was a complete blast, three days in the sun by the pool. It's amazing, and you have to do that. People I know went to Patagonia and said it was amazing. The people are awesome as well. They're really friendly and so easy to get along with. If you have any problems, just go ask them. They're completely friendly, and that's it.
