Danielle's experience with Mente Argentina

Danielle, from Rochester, New York, and the University of Michigan, came to Buenos Aires for a medical internship, with Mente Argentina arranging her placement at a hospital. She made the most of the activities on offer: La Bomba del Tiempo, the Argentine Experience, polo, happy hours, tango and salsa at La Viruta, a group trip to Tigre and, more recently, a visit to Colonia, Uruguay. She says she has learned a lot about Buenos Aires and its people, whom she calls fabulous; one evening even the building's portero invited them over and cooked for them. She describes it as a really great experience and credits Mente with doing a great job connecting them to so many different opportunities.

I'm Danielle Flesig. I'm from Rochester, New York, and I came to Buenos Aires for a medical internship. Mente Argentina hooked us up with the hospital. We did a lot of things with Mente, all the different activities they offered us. We went to La Bomba del Tiempo. We went to the Argentine Experience. We went to polo. We went to happy hours. We went to tango and salsa at La Viruta. We also went to Tigre with the group as a trip. We recently went to Colonia, Uruguay, too. It's been a great trip. I've learned a lot about Buenos Aires and the Argentinian people. They're fabulous. Even our portero invited us last night. He cooked for us. It was amazing. I didn't think I liked them until he made them for me, and now I don't mind them so much. I still don't like them, but okay. It was a really great experience here, and Mente Argentina really did a great job hooking us up with all these different opportunities.
