Gwin's experience with Mente Argentina

Gwin, from Germany, did an internship in social work in Buenos Aires, helping children at school with their homework, and calls it really awesome. Gwin's Spanish improved a lot: arriving with the belief of speaking some Spanish, Gwin quickly realized it was barely anything. Gwin traveled a lot and met many new people, which was a highlight. The advice for others is to make the most of it: do as much as you can afford, meet new people, be open-minded and work on your Spanish, because without it you can't really talk to anyone or socialize, and the experience won't be worth as much.

My name is Gwin. I'm from Germany, and I did an internship that was basically social work. I helped kids in school and helped them with their homework. It was really awesome. I improved my Spanish a lot. I thought I could speak some Spanish, but when I came here I realized I couldn't speak anything. I traveled a lot, and I met so many new people here. That was awesome. I really can recommend it. You should make the best of it. Just try to do as much as you can, as much as you can afford. Meet new people, be open-minded, and try to improve your Spanish. Otherwise it won't be worth coming here, if you can't speak to anybody and you can't socialize.
