Mente Argentina
Sara's Internship Experience in Buenos Aires
Sara's experience with Mente Argentina
Sara, from Serbia and studying in France, spent four weeks in Buenos Aires interning at an NGO that works with homeless people. After struggling to find an internship elsewhere, she feels lucky to have come across Mente Argentina through a volunteer-abroad program. She describes Buenos Aires as vibrant, with amazing, helpful people who will help you find your way if you get lost, wonderful food and so many cultural events every day that it can be hard to choose. She especially recommends a mate club, where you speak Spanish and English with locals and people from around the world. Mente organizes about two activities a week, from cultural outings to informal brunches and lunches, which she found a great way to meet other participants and make friends. She describes the staff as very helpful and always there, whatever the problem, and recommends coming with Mente.

My name is Sara. I'm from Serbia, but I'm currently studying in France. Right now I'm doing an internship here in Buenos Aires for four weeks, at an NGO that works with homeless people. I was so lucky to stumble upon Mente Argentina through a volunteer-abroad program, because I had so much trouble finding an internship, and I'm so lucky to have found this one. Buenos Aires is a great city. It's so vibrant. The people here are amazing and helpful. If you get lost, they're going to help you find your way, and the food here is amazing. There are so many cultural events going on every single day that sometimes it becomes hard to choose which one to go to. I really recommend going to a mate club, because you get to speak Spanish and English with locals and with other people who came from all over the world. Mente organizes about two activities per week. They can be cultural or more informal, such as going for brunch or lunch together. It's an amazing opportunity to meet new people who are also here with Mente, and to meet new friends. The Mente staff are very helpful. They're always there to help you no matter what your problem is. I really recommend coming here with Mente. Have fun.
